Lightwave II - Organic modeling and animation.

Intro:

In the second semester of Lightwave the focus was placed on organic modeling and animation. We learned about subpatches and bones. Shortly after class began each student was required to create a story board and plan out their project for the semester.

Creating the model was slower this semester because of having to work with subpatches. Work started with the eyes and then worked out to the rest of the head. After that the rest of the body was created and bones were set up.

While I was satisfied with the final product, I never liked the way he walked. Maybe I'll redo it some time.

Again it took around two weeks of rendering in my spare time to finish it all for an animation that ran just a little over a minute long.

The tadpole logo also went through a few changes this semester. I added some particle affects to it after the flame gets blown out.

Below are more images from the animation.
