Illustrator

Since I had never used Illustrator before, this class was very interesting to me. After I got used to it, Illustrator became one of my favorite programs to play with while doing graphics.

After completing the tutorials in the book we all opened up a graphic of a swan that came on the textbook CD. Our first assignment was to manipulate this swan using the things we had just learned.

We then learned about the pen tool and practiced by tracing a photo of a fish. Then we were to create a new image using this fish we had just made. Many of us also discovered the fantastic uses of copy and paste in this assignment.

Next we learned about the mirror tool and used it to create vases. We combined this and different transparencies to create an image.

I forget the tool we learned while creating the TV, but here we also used a vase from the previous assignment.

We also were given the task of creating pages for a coloring book to be given to children who came while their parents of sibling were touring the university.
